My 2024 Halloween Costume
You’ve probably noticed those inflatable guys flapping around at your local car wash or used car dealership. But have you ever noticed they only have one leg?
Here’s my 2024 Halloween Costume: Inflatable Tube Man
As is recent tradition, I’ve partnered with my buddy and prop master Calen Hoffman who spent many, many hours creating this epic rendition of my humanoid marketing air person. You may remember that Calen is the artistic genius behind my 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2023 Halloween Costumes
Baby Groot (2020)
Microscope (2021)
Mjölnir (2022)
Fireman (2023)
My wife Ashley dressed as a used car lot sign, which she crafted from a FedEx box and leftover house paint. Our son joined in on the fun as a used car lot salesman named “Ace Dealz” from The Ace Dealz Automotive Group complete with a miniature FIAT 500 and an authentic 1970s bell bottom suit. Yes, we ate most of his candy.
Special shoutout to the inventor of these beloved inflatable wind puppets, Peter Minshall. Peter is an artist from Trinidad and Tobago who originally designed these “Tall Boys” for the 1996 Centennial Olympic Games in Atlanta—just 10 years before I had the opportunity of a lifetime to complete in Turino, Italy as a member of the 2006 U.S. Paralympic Ski Team.
Halloween has become way more meaningful to me than I could ever have imagined. And it’s even more delightful to share the family tradition with our amazing son. Thank you so much for your enthusiasm and support around my costumes over the past 13 years!
