"We Should Hang Out Sometime" in Illinois

Recently, I learned something pretty amazing: for the past eight years, every single sophomore at Metamora Township High School in Illinois has read my memoir, We Should Hang Out Sometime!

Apparently, my tales of dating disasters (and eventual triumphs!! See: Ashley) have been striking a chord with their students. Hearing that my book is not only entertaining but also connecting with students on a deeper level is incredibly rewarding. It’s a reminder that we all go through those awkward phases, and that humor can help us get to the other side.

And here’s the best part… these determined and creative teachers, who have been sharing my stories with their students year after year, even joined an association of local farmers to see me speak! It’s always an honor to connect with educators who are passionate about sharing stories that inspire and, hopefully, make people laugh a little.

To the devoted teachers at Metamora Township High School, thank you for sharing my story with your students! It means the world.
